I know this is like 3 years after the fact but I just figured out that the graffiti character in my Brooklyn Water Tower painting is called Swampy and finally clued in he’s all over the place! Hope the street artists is happy to know that at one of the works he/she has done has been immortalized into another artists painting.
Joey Bruni, a graduate of Durham College's three-year Graphic Arts program, has cultivated his artistic style through a multidisciplinary approach, including painting, drawing, photography, and design classes. His journey began during the era of the traditional "Cut & Paste" method of creating camera ready artwork, instilling in him a unique appreciation for the artistic side of graphic design. Joey's artwork serves as an ongoing documentation of spaces, places, and facts that have been overlooked, challenging viewers to reevaluate their surroundings and break free from mindless daily routines. Through his paintings, drawings, and prints, he captures the beauty of seemingly mundane life by sharing his appreciation for the under-appreciated.
